Airport Information

About the Airport

The Merced Yosemite Regional Airport offers a short commute, free parking, simple check-in, no long lines and professional TSA baggage inspection services. Departing from here is easy! It’s a short commute, much faster than that long commute to San Francisco or Sacramento airports and much easier than that grueling drive down to Orange County or Los Angeles. In addition to carrying the exceptional and reliable service of Advanced Air, our airport also offers facilities for general aviation aircraft, the Hangar Café, Gateway Air Center for private aircraft, offices for government agencies, great concessionaires, and corporate hangars.

Free Parking!

Parking is available in front of the passenger terminal building. There is no charge for airport parking, either short-term or long-term. Passenger vehicles can be left a maximum of 10 days without obtaining prior permission from the airport manager. Longer stays can be arranged by contacting airport administration at 209-385-6873 or email at flymercedairport@cityofmerced.org. In the event of aviation security issues, parking locations may change without prior notice. Vehicles parked in violation of the parking regulation or aviation security measures will be ticketed, towed, and impounded at the owner's expense.

The airport offers an open lot with free parking that can be used for either short or long-term parking.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Departing passengers and their baggage may be dropped off at the terminal entrance, and arriving passengers may be picked up in front of the terminal’s entrance. Drivers must remain with their vehicle and remove them immediately after a passenger is dropped off.

Airport Security

We take security very seriously at the Merced Regional Airport, and we encourage you to do the same. Although the relative size of our airport means that you can save a few extra minutes at your home or office, we still like to see you here approximately one hour before your flight so that our security staff has the necessary time to ensure that your brief stay at the airport and your flight are as safe as possible. For more information regarding security issues contact the Transportation Security Administration: www.tsa.gov
